Case of the Patanjali advertisements: The court has requested that the licensing authorities of every state and union territory be joined as parties to the action.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), the petitioner in the case involving misleading marketing against Patanjali Ayurved, Baba Ramdev, and Acharya Balkrishna, was criticized by the Supreme Court of India on Tuesday for its doctors’ purported endorsement of “expensive and unnecessary” allopathic drugs.

The nation’s preeminent medical group was informed by the Supreme Court in scathing remarks that “four fingers” were also pointing at them.

“The allopathic field’s medications are also recommended by your (IMA) physicians. Why don’t we aim the beam at you (IMA) if that’s what’s occurring?” the IMA was questioned by the SC.

In response to accusations of “unethical acts” involving the prescription of “expensive and unnecessary” medications to patients, the Supreme Court ordered IMA to clear its records.

Additionally, the Supreme Court noted that FMCG businesses were misleading the public by running ads for goods that have an impact on the health of elderly people, babies, and school-age children.

The business notified the judge today that it had apologized in more than sixty newspapers.
